Whoever came up with the saying “Size does matter” has obviously never been introduced to the Fjällräven Kånken Mini.

The original Kånken was released in 1978 to help prevent back problems that seems to be on the rise among Swedish school children. Considered the smallest member of the Fjällräven Kånken family, this little backpack also packs a punch as a collectible with some of our not-so-little customers. The Swedes just know how to do it.

The backpack that straightened out a whole generation.

A miniature to the Fjällräven Kånken Classic, the Kånken Mini sports the exact material and features of its parent model – a durable and light Vinylon Fabric that is water and dirt resistant. Its no wonder parents go crazy over this bag. Its Ideal for kids as a backpack for school, outings, the great outdoors or as a fashion statement for some young adults.

I like that the main compartment of Kånken Mini can be fully unzipped which allows front loading. This makes it easy for the little people to access their belongings. The bag compartment fits in basics such as a small notebook, a wallet, an iPad mini, or a sweater. A smaller front compartment for ipods, snack packs. Side compartments can fit an iPhone 6 snugly. I find the side compartments too small to fit standard size water bottles. Anyway, a water bottle can just easily fit into the main compartment.

The shoulder straps are long and adjustable so they fit both little and big backs. They can be fastened with a button so they are not in the way.  The logo on the front also doubles as a reflector.F23561_0_8ac1644d-c3ec-4455-9480-d673c7215471_1024x1024
